Abstract
The concept of sustainable development is very important to develop tourism, especially for the context of traditional tourism. However, previous researches indicate the implementation of sustainability in traditional tourism village only focus on economic and environmental aspects and neglect the real culture values. The Using Traditional Tourism Village in Kemiren is one of the traditional tourist destinations in Banyuwangi, which is a settlement for the Using Tribe (the indigenous Banyuwangi tribe). This research is located in the Traditional Tourism Village Using Kemiren. The study aims to obtain facts in revealing the problems and impacts of tourism and cultural linkages that occur in the Using Traditional Tourism Village in accordance with existing conditions. In addition, this paper also conducts a study through related literature regarding the perspective of the Using Kemiren community and the implementation of their cultural values in the development of traditional tourism villages. The method in the study is a qualitative with exploratory descriptive method. Exploratory descriptive research in this study is used to examine, compare, several related literatures so that a conclusion is obtained in realizing a different perspective values between cultural and tourism to the sustainability of the Traditional Tourism Village Using Kemiren.
