Abstract. PT PLN (Persero) UIP Sumbagsel is a business unit that has a core business in managing and controlling the construction of electrical power installations that is Transmission Network and electric substation in the provinces of South Sumatra, Lampung, Bengkulu, and Bangka Belitung. In carrying out the construction, PT PLN (Persero) UIP Sumbagsel collaborates with a contractor company to carry out construction activities in the field. Construction activities include many elements such as humans and work appliances in large quantities which can cause work accidents so that a prevention and control effort is needed so that accidents do not occur. The purpose of this study is to identify, assess and control potential hazards at PLN UIP Sumbagsel. The research data were obtained from work procedure documents and direct observation. The results of the identification and risk assessment were analyzed using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method to see the risk factors that exist in each job and their control. From the results of this study, it was found that there were a total of 42 risks. The risk can be controlled through substitution, administrative control, and the use of personal protective equipment.
