Abstract
Metal casting is one of the workpiece manufacturing techniques. In general, The metal casting process can be divided into 4 stages, namely workpiece design, preparation pattern for the mold (including adjustment of the characteristics of the material to be used), mold preparation, and metal casting and inspection. At the metal casting stage, Many factors can lead to failure. Could be from lack of experience or Having an accident due to the pouring of hot molten metal is certainly a high risk. So from that it is expected that before doing metal casting, we must simulate this metal casting. And for now the software that has been tested to run well is Altair Inspire Cast. With this software, we can simulate starting from the precision design to defects that may occur if we cast metal with the correct setting predetermined.
