Abstract

Abstract. Nowadays plastic waste is the largest distributor of global waste and no concrete solution has been covered to decrease plastic waste that gives negative impacts to environment each day. Therefore, innovation is needed to solve the problem and one of the solutions is making the plastic waste as alternative addition to concrete coarse aggregate. Not only environmentally friendly, this innovation is more economical and able to raise people awareness to plastic waste utilization.  According to Asri Mulyani’s experiment (2018) the utilization of plastic waste as alternative addition resulting compressive strenghth 172,10 Kg/Cm2, 163,04 Kg/Cm2, dan 158,51 Kg/Cm2 in 28 days with different amount of plastic waste mixture of 10x10-3, 20x10-3, dan 30x10-3. Concrete with plastic waste mixture can be an economical solution with lower compressive strength but the strength difference is not far lower than general concrete found.
