Abstract

In the port service sector, loading and unloading of ships carrying containers is used Ship To Shore (STS) Crane which is controlled by the operator with hand and foot movements, as well as by sitting and looking down for hours. This study aims to analyze the work posture of STS Crane operators at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, as well as to find out program solutions to minimize the risk of fatigue for STS Crane operators at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong. The research method uses a literature review on ergonomics studies, field observations, and technical analysis of work postures carried out using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) worksheet. The results of this study indicate that the work posture of STS Crane operators is at moderate risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs), and there have been several program solutions that can minimize the risk of fatigue or work accidents for STS Crane operators at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong.
