Abstract
Ngata Toro is a traditional village that is in direct contact with Lore Lindu National Park. This village is often visited by tourists from within the country and abroad because of the value of its strong local cultural wisdom. However, the development of ecotourism can have a negative impact with the entry of new cultures from visitors. This study will examine the socio-cultural aspects of Ngata Toro in its resilience to its development towards ecotourism. This research is a qualitative research with case study method. The result is that Ngata Toro already has attributes of socio-cultural resilience such as the Penglipuran Traditional Village and needs to add other adaptation and conservation efforts to make it optimal. In addition, the socio-cultural aspects of Ngata Toro can also be sufficient in the development of sustainable tourism, which means that Ngata Toro has a strong socio-cultural defense in the midst of tourism activities and the entry of new cultures from tourists, and can develop through sustainable tourism.
